I am incredibly thankful that my company took the time to care for and advise me of this wonderful relief fund. Everyone at Emergency Assistance Foundation has been so helpful and supportive in helping me to lessen my financial burden from the flood. I want to say thank you, sincerely, with all of my heart, for helping me through this difficult time. I had no idea about this resource and it has been extremely helpful. I am filled with gratitude.

This fund was not initially known to me until recommended by my management team after explaining my hardship situation. It was difficult for me to ask for help, as it's in my nature to try and fix things on my own; but after applying and being approved it deeply humbled me that my employer had sponsored something of this capacity to assist me in my time of need. I've never experienced the support from prior employers in this manner, and it made me feel that they not only cared about my immediate well-being, but honestly understood my long-term situation and how this was impacting it. I would love the opportunity to be able to give back to the fund, if possible, through donations and/or other opportunities. Again, I am deeply grateful and humbled to be able to utilize such an amazing program.

After the storm destroyed a part of our home, our already tight budget made it difficult to afford to fix our roof. This grant helped us in a big way. It made our life a little easier, as we didn't have to choose between paying our utilities and feeding your family or repairing our home. It was a great help and we are very thankful! You never know when you may need a little help, but just knowing that there is this kind of help available makes it much easier for us to focus at work and other important things in our lives. We really appreciate your support.

I applied for the grant in order to help me after breaking away from a domestic abuse situation. The grant helped me greatly. Searching for apartments is an extremely difficult task for single mothers, and this grant helped me move out and take care of my children. I am very thankful that this program is available to people who truly need help. To everyone who donated, from the depths of my spirit, I would like to say thank you for everything you have done to make this program possible. We all need a little help in life and for people like me, who found themselves in a very difficult situation, and needed a little relief from a very heavy burden, this program has done that. When I am fully on my feet I am inspired to donate myself so I can pay it forward to another individual who is trying their hardest to navigate through difficult circumstances. If there were more programs like this, the world would be such a better place.

I was a victim of domestic violence – this grant helped my family become whole again. After leaving and facing homelessness for a time, I was finally able to get my own apartment to bring my family home. Thank you for making life a little easier for me. It was truly a weight lifted off my shoulders as I was starting to lose hope. The moment I was awarded the grant I cried of happiness. I knew that dark chapter of my life was ending and something new was starting.

After being diagnosed with kidney cancer and knowing that I would have to have surgery and possibly other treatments, I greatly worried about how I would pay for all of the hospital bills. I do have medical insurance but it does not cover everything. When I applied for the grant and received the notification that a portion of my medical bills was paid, I was so relieved. Having that bill paid helped ease the financial burden of all the medical bills that I have acquired. I am so grateful for everyone that has donated to the fund, without you I would still being worrying about my medical bills and now I am able to focus more on recovery than money. This grant has put a large dent in my medical bill debt that I will forever be grateful for. It is a blessing not to have to worry about financial problems when you are trying to recover from cancer and surgery. Thank you so much, you are all a blessing.

Due to a serious injury, I was hospitalized for almost 3 months, and the hospital bills quickly piled up. Although my insurance covered most of my expenses, there were still some bills that I had to cover - and since I was unable to work, I was struggling to find a way to pay them. Good thing this relief fund exists! It has strengthened my commitment to my company and to my job here. My company supported me at my worst and in return I will dedicate my service for as long as I live. Thank you to an organization and to fellow team members that truly care.

I myself donate to this fund but honestly never expected to ever have to apply. I am thankful to everyone, including my organization, who donates to this fund to help with the unexpected.

I can pay my electric bill, (buy) my son school clothes. Have food, like real food in the house. I will start contributing to the fund because this is such a great program and I’m so blessed to be employed here. That you would offer financial help. Stuff happens and it can really set you back. And it’s hard to get out of debt but this will get me a little ahead so I am so appreciative.

My wife was diagnosed with stage 4 cancer. I had to take FMLA and my wife had to step down from her job. I used all of my available vacation and PTO. We were living on our savings which ran out. We have 4 kids ranging from 15 to 2. I had to support my family. Along with the additional expenses to get my wife the best care possible. We have been seeing specialist and traveling to different states to major cancer treatment centers exploring any and every option out there for my wife.

Initially I was able to take care of my medical bills but then I needed treatment after treatment and test after test. Then surgery and traveling. I had no idea how I would pay for any of it. This financial assistance took away a lot of the stress that I had. I’m so grateful!

They were very descriptive on what you needed to do and what they wanted to help. Very attentive and I recommend anyone going through something and needing help ... don’t hesitate to reach out ...

...The approval process was very quick. The communication was great the whole time and process. It helped my family so much and we really need it right now. It took some of the stress away and funds are going to support my family in a time of need. I was very pleased and very thankful that there is a program like this available through my company.
