A historic, deadly storm.
The earliest-forming Category 5 Atlantic hurricane on record, Hurricane Beryl caused massive destruction throughout the Caribbean, Yucatán Peninsula, and the Gulf Coast of the United States in late June and early July 2024.
Immediately, EAF and our Fund Partners sprung into action - within days of Beryl making final landfall in Texas, we had already awarded over $1 million in financial aid to impacted individuals and families.

I applied for this grant because Hurricane Beryl caused additional expenses on top of hardships that I’m already experiencing. This relief was so greatly appreciated and definitely helped my family.
The grant allowed me to replace spoiled food that I purchased before the hurricane and helped with the additional expenses that were caused by its destruction. FEMA denied my application even with proof and my renter insurance would not cover food spoilage, so this relief fund was a huge help.
I just want to express my gratitude - these last five years have been tough. Raising two kids on my own one with a disability, I can’t afford to miss one day of work. So, just thank you!

“Hurricane Beryl caused a major ductwork leak above my kitchen that caused serious damage to a good amount of the sheetrock on the ceiling above the sink.
With the assistance received from this grant, I was able to hire a contractor to fix the leak and replace it. I no longer have a leaky ceiling in my kitchen! Thank y'all so much!”

"With daily cost of living at an all time high, to face a hurricane like this was a nightmare. Having no electricity for 5 days, having to pay higher gas prices, pay for inflated hotel rooms to be somewhat comfortable. It caused additional strain on a tight budget. I was beyond thankful for the grant it allowed me to replace groceries and some personal items my grandson lost as a result of a leak in his bedroom. It was very much needed and appreciated. It removed the stress of worrying about food. I gained the ability to go purchase groceries after having to throw everything out. Thank you! Your generosity really has made a difference!"

"I applied for this grant because we had many difficulties as a result of Hurricane Beryl. We lost power and a lot of our food and we were not able to work. This aid was a major help as it allowed us to pay our rent and replace the food we lost. May God bless those who care to support in these cases - it was a great relief for my family, making us feel supported in such difficult times. My daughters will not have to go hungry thanks to your help!"

"I needed help after not being able to work after being hit by Hurricane Beryl. We had no power for almost 2 weeks and me and my children where also with out water and our food spoiled.
